Hi there, let me introduce myself.  I am a Level 3 Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor with both online fitness classes for anyone living anywhere to access, local community classes and personal training clients. My classes mainly focus on Fitness Pilates, Freestyle Fitness Yoga and imovefreely ( the latter is a series of basic movement techniques to help the body move better).

I am passionate about exercise and the health benefits it brings to all ages and abilities. I love teaching (30 years this year!), it gives me such a buzz, and its a privilege to see clients getting fitter, stronger and overcoming health issues.

I like to make all my sessions fun, challenging and really interactive. One of my prime objectives is to make the client feel safe through clear instruction and delivery; as well as educating them about their own bodies so their exercise experience is enhanced. The more they ‘feel’ the movement, the better the results!  My tagline is ‘Feel your best – Be your best’

I have always been into fitness, from a young child swimming, horse riding, cycling and walking I was always outdoors , it seemed a natural transition to have fitness form the basis of my career! I have taught all manner of classes from Over 50’s to kids to step and spinning.

My more recent interests encompass plant based nutrition and how the body can become healthier, fitter and stronger with a wholefood plant based diet. As well as Mental Health and the practice of mindfulness within an exercise setting.

What My Classes Are Like

My Fitness Pilates classes are usually 45 minutes to an hour in length, each class is different and we use minimal equipment, a mat, a mini ball and a resistance band to diversify and give variety. These are the key areas a class member will see improvements in: overall strength – (especially core strength & back stability), balance, flexibility, issues with muscular imbalances, coordination, focus,  the mind-body connection and ability to relax. I deliver these via facebook live and zoom online if they join my facebook club. There are also elements of Freestyle Fitness Yoga, with a strong emphasis on stretch/relaxation and breathing woven in to enhance their experience. My online club has four classes a week.

PT sessions are also 45 -60 mins, with initial discussion, goal settings, PARQ beforehand to ensure safe, effective delivery of exercise.

Class Information

On my facebook page I have a number of free private clubs – Mindfulness & Meditation which has regular posts for people to follow.

My Lifestyle Club is a free private club where I do a daily stretch at 8am during term time for people to follow.

I am hugely interested in Healh and wellness during menopause and will be launching a womens Strength & Wellness Program online soon, watch out on my socila media for this. Combining a daily esistance training woekout with live talks on stress, hormones, plant based nutrition, exercise, sleep and a host of other issues.

I also do weekly sessions for cycling, football and rugby clubs. These are currently via zoom during lockdown and are fitness pilates based. I am happy to run any sports club a class via zoom, wherever they are based as Fitness Pilates is so beneficial for anyone in sport.

Out of lockdown, I run a Mens only session at Everyone Active next to Melton Mowbray Rugby Club which is attended by ex and current rugby players.
