Completing courses and qualifications is an effective method of improving your fitness-based knowledge and therefore improving your reputation as a fitness instructor. Two of the largest registers for the health and fitness industry in the UK are REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals) and CIMPSA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity). Registering allows you to be recognised as a fitness professional of a high standard. To be able to become registered you must hold a recognised qualification from an accredited training provider. We’ve suggested a number of these training providers below. We’ll continue to update this page to make sure that you are aware of the wide range of opportunities for future development that exist.

YMCA Fit are one of the UK’s leading and oldest fitness training providers, offering a wide range of exercise courses including personal training, group exercise, pilates and yoga instructing courses.
