Daddy Kabuiku

I am a level 4 personal trainer and nutritional advisor, with ample experience coaching clients ranging from 4 to 70 years old. In my 10 years as a PT and gym instructor I have trained over 400 people a year. I have also been involved with the fitness world for nearly three decades, as both an athlete and a coach.

In my late 30s I began to experience individual success in Thai Boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at a National and European level. Assessing my new status, from a competitor to a champion, pushed me to think about what I had changed in my approach. The result of all my trials, experiences and analysis led me to develop the Train For Life 4 Principles.

Through sleeping, breathing, eating, training, in that exact order of importance, I can help you address the problems you may have instead of focusing on the symptoms. In other words: YOUR LIFESTYLE IS THE KEY!

My instructor Style: I laugh with you, I listen to you but I make you work! We start the session with an informal chat. I get to know how you are in the moment. I can adjust the intensity for each individual in the group, depending on their “in the moment” circumstances.

About My Class

Your growth and enjoyment are pivotal, we start slow and small and together we build your Fitness knowledge, strength and stamina

We are all like-minded, supportive and positive people so the atmosphere is positive and welcoming

As well as being attentive and fun. I know how you feel and generally I do the session myself and post them for the community to see. I lead by example.

Competition is not our main focus, we do races from time to time but only with routines everyone is comfortable with. The crew enjoy those 2-3 minutes races as everyone can show case their progress

Diversity is key, no session look like any other. I pride myself for researching and coming up with fun, original way to exercise.

You are assessed and looked after during the whole session and after we often have a banter on Instagram when I post about the sessions

I have constant communication between the participants and myself, following 4 steps:

Step 1 – I welcome you and ask about your day, how you feel, mentally and physically.
Step 2 – We start with a mobility warm-up to get you physically and mentally ready
Step 3 – I set a doable, but demanding, session. E.g. if someone who cannot do push ups, we will do them on her/his knees at the beginning but gradually will be asked to do 1 full push ups out of 10 till she/he gets stronger and manage to do full push ups all the time.
Step 4 – Ongoing check up: as you perform I check on your technique, posture and correct individually. I often get the majority of the group doing one thing and focus on one participant to make sure that she/he gets the best of the experience.

I often ask questions between exercise when everyone is resting. How was the routine? demanding? What was the hardest part if the routine?

The HIIT classes are fantastic, Daddy caters to everyone’s needs and always listens to the clients. He is definitely a hard worker, but I always finish the class with such a positive attitude and a sweaty mess!

I am so pleased to have found Daddy’s classes. It gives structure to my lockdown day & I genuinely look forward to each session.
