My goal is to help people, whatever their age and fitness level, to experience how Pilates can help us move better and consequently feel better. Pilates is suitable for just about anyone!

Years of sitting hunched over a computer in my corporate job had left me with neck and back pain, but the improvement I saw with regular Pilates practice inspired me to switch career and train as an instructor myself with Body Control Pilates.

I count myself lucky to be doing something that I love and find it really rewarding to see people progress and feel the benefits for themselves. I make sure that I offer lots of options in class so that everyone can feel the right level of challenge for their own bodies (we’re all different!), and we make use of small props such as resistance bands and balls to provide variation and an extra challenge. As well as focusing on good technique and precision of movement, I also like to make sure that we have fun in class!

Back4Good ® certified practitioner (for prevention and management of low back pain)
Registered as a ‘BackCare Professional’ with BackCare, the charity for healthier backs

About My Class

Group classes run for an hour and are small so that I can give everyone individual attention (even online). We work on the mat and will sometimes use small equipment, such as resistance bands, overballs and light hand weights. For online classes we can be creative (using tins or small bottles of water as weights for example)!

You will develop your Pilates technique and skills through a balanced, effective total body workout with particular focus on the core. The exercises will teach you new movement skills, developing your body awareness, increasing strength and flexibility and improving posture, balance and co-ordination.
